My Process

Each project follows its own set of rules; however, there is always a common thread of logic that pulls them to the finish line successfully. I’ve worked with a multitude of project management tools; however, they really only apply to the final stage of a design production. My process refers to my creative steps and methodology. How I approach each project is based on 3 guiding principals:

Your audience is my goal.

Surprise, I do research first. Sounds bizarre I know, but I’ll assume you expected that and skip the Hardy Boys speech. However, I do build a brand personality profile. This means I may ask strange questions. Sure, I ask about past marketing efforts. But, I also ask “what type of restaurant would your brand pick on a first date?”. Or, “what intersection does your brand live on?”. I’m method like that.

Key design skills – activate!

Here is where the 25 years experience shines (take that grey hairs)! I think in visuals. I compile data and profile sketches then start grouping all compelling elements. I consider audience specific profiles and user flow. I connect dots. What you’ll see are the most polished and successful solutions which we will whittle down to your perfect fit. After launch we circle back and check our work.

Here’s where I merge my process with yours. My goal is to solve a challenge, not create additional ones. This is why I strive to act as a partner and solve challenges in 3D.
